The total sales on 26 head of horses came to $100,450.00. The average on 26 head was $3,863.46 and the average of the top 5 horses was $9,590.00.
All the horses were beautifully presented and we had return consignors: Wingait Farm, Jeff and Anita Fancsali; Rustic View Farm, Dean and Wendy Meyer; TRSW Morgans, Susan Walker and Terry Rutledge; and HyLee Farm had 10 head consigned. PlayMor Farm and Sammi Hazen presented some very well bred stock, and single horse consignors prepared very nice stock for Heidi Harvey and Oldfield Morgans, Ted Heinrich, Gretchen Johnson.
DVAuction had the Preview on Friday night and the auction with Live-Bidding on Saturday. The Preview had 74 viewers on-line and there were 374 viewers watching the auction on Saturday, with 44 states, Mexico and 3 Canadian Provinces recorded. There was a fair amount of bidding coming from the Internet, phone bidding and on the floor.
Bill Addis again does a wonderful job of auctioneering and keeping the interest going, Doug Irvine reads pedigrees and with his knowledge of horses’ pedigrees, show records and horseman knowledge adds greatly to the information give bidders about their horses. Terry Addis runs the office and does a very good job keeping things in order. We have always-wonderful Preview snacks and a good luncheon menu provided for all the sales by Terryl Smith.
High selling horse was HyLee’s Runway Renee’. She is a four-year old black daughter of Mizrahi and our of HyLee’s Grace Under Fire, a maternal sister to the WC HyLee’s Goldsmith, WC HyLee’s Gilt Edge and HyLee’s Dannation. She sold to Al Davison in Ontario Canada for $18,500.00. Second high seller was a yearling colt sired by ZZ Top, HyLee’s Contender. There was active bidding on all 3 avenues to bid and he sold for $9250.00 to a partnership formed at the sale of Yoder, Yoder and Miller. Third high seller was the first horse in the auction, HyLee’s Howabouthat, a big handsome gelding by HyLee’s Rare Flaire who sold to Judy Gauger in Iowa for $8300.00. Cheryl Manahan from Wichita Riding Academy purchased fourth high seller bringing $6400.00. TRSW Her Royal Highness, a high stepping cadenced 4-year old mare consigned by Terry Rutledge and Susan Walker. She is sired by the Top Selling Horse at our sale, Equinox Attaché’. HyLee’s Seven Roses in foal to the Born to Boogie son, HyLee’s The Biggest Bang was 5th high selling for $5,500. This muti-champion mare in so many divisions including National Champion 4-Year old mare in Hand went to Alberta to Gordon and Laurie Pack.
We were very pleased with the turnout of horses and bidders at the auction. The HyLee Staff headed up by Melanie Jelle and Lavern Stampfli make it possible to have the auction on the HyLee location. We’re lucky to continue with the staff that Bill and Terry Addis provide with Leith Jones, Joe Doctor and Sherri Doctor, Pat Ziegler and Doug Irvine.

HyLee's Contender
(ZZ Top x HyLee's Diamond Fantasy)
2012 Bay Yearling Colt
Should mature 15:2
Contender is a beautiful chocolate bay stallion with a very long neck, a drop dead gorgeous head, long legs, balanced body, deep chest, correct, balanced and good moving. Oh, my what else should I say about this handsome horse other than he is a very smart colt, easy to train and level headed. He comes from a line of horses on his dam's side who have all been top amateur, junior exhibitor and ladies horses. His dam, HyLee's Diamond Fantasy is a blood sister to the many world titled HyLee's Fan Flaire and holds a National Championship herself. She is also a full sister to the winning Faircrest Rare Edition. He is just a very nice individual and it is hard to sell one with such potential in the future, but it is with great hopes that someone gets him who wants to make a name for themselves and also this fine horse.

Stonecroft Cherished
(Stonecroft Trilogy x Century Enjolie)
2008 Bay Mare
Stands 14:3 Hands
Cherished is bred in the blue being sired by Stonecroft Trilogy, a son of Stonecroft Masquerade. Cherished's dam is the "Blue Hen" producer, Century Enjolie. Cherished is the last known registered daughter of Enjolie and a full sister to the winning western pleasure mare, Stonecroft Daydream. She is a beautifully put together mare with a powerful way of moving. She is sweet mare to work around and a beauty to see. She has excellent Morgan type, refinement and is conformationally correct. She is trained and has been shown in pleasure driving, has won as a junior hunter and has also had work in the western division. She would make a very showy walk/trot hunter/western horse for the rider who has the talent and guidance and desire to show on a National level. She is the last of a very special mare who has proven to be very valuable.

HyLee's Runway Rene´
(Mizrahi x HyLee's Grace Under Fire )
2009 Black Mare
Stands 15:1 Hands
Runway Rene´ has the best of both when it comes to quality and talent. She has 100% in the departments of expression, courage, head-set, show attitude and can strip with the best of them. She is a full sister to the champion English Pleasure mare, HyLee Grace's Moriah. She has shown well in her first two times in the show ring under saddle and held her own in very tough national competition considering she wasn't a seasoned competitor. She had a good mind and disposition and will rise to the level of her rider's request. She is patient and sensible. She will give you goosebumps when she is standing up and turns around and looks at you, OMG, she is amazing! She can show in the English Pleasure division or be THE ONE in the Classic division on a national level. Suitable for a lady and a junior exhibitor. She is available to whoever wants to own her and not get beat by her!

HyLee's All About Me
(HyLee's Galaxy Seven x Whispering About Me )
2008 Bay Mare
Stands 15 Hands
"Shout" is the first foal out of the National Champion Three-Year Old Park Mare, Whispering About Me. She is also sired by the beautiful and talented, HyLee's Galaxy Seven. She is an extremely beautiful mare. Her conformation is full bodied with an elegance about her that makes you just want to look at her all the time. She is very talented off both ends, even barefoot she moves like most horses would with a show shoe on. She is trained to drive, but due to an accident as a weanling, I cannot recommend her to stay sound for competitive showing or hard driving, so I am selling her as a broodmare. She has been checked to be breeding sound but has never been bred. We worked her this past year to remove any doubt as to how she would hold up. If I was not downsizing myself, I would be keeping her for breeding. She is a young mare and a great producing future ahead of her. Whoever purchases her should contact me in regard to a breeding.

HyLee's No Regrets
(HyLee's Galaxy Seven x HyLee's VigilDawn )
2010 Black Mare
Stands 14:3 Hands
"Scout" has all the personality of the barn wrapped up in one horse. There is never a day that she isn't curious about what is around her, has her ears up and loves life. She has an abundance of talent in her motion and is now driving and will have about 45 days of riding by the day of the auction. She is one who is very hard to let go as she is the last foal of a mare, HyLee's VigilDawn, whose family line goes back to the first mare HyLee Farm owned, Dolly Mae. Her conformation is so good she doesn't have to be posed into looking good, she can stand square and win. She has several blues In Hand at such shows as The Jubilee, North Star and Morgan Masterpiece. She really want to belong to someone and will be their horse forever. There will never be a day that you will tire looking at her and she will always give you her all when you work her. Don't pass up not only on a little bit of history from HyLee, but create your own history be owning her.

HyLee's Seven Roses
(HyLee's Galaxy Seven x HVK Irish Wild Rose)
2001 Bay Mare
Stands 15 Hands
Seven Roses is an absolutely beautiful mare and besides her beauty she has excelled in performance also. She has a very kind and delicate demeanor about her that makes to want to give all your attention to her. She was National Champion 4-Year Old Mare, National Champion Pleasure Driving Mare and was also shown as a roadster under saddle and harness. She was shown as a roadster under saddle by a Junior Exhibitor to tell you her manners and good training. She is due to foal in 2014 to The Biggest Bang (Born to Boogie x HyLee's Teardrop by Serenity Flight Time). Having to cut back on horses at HyLee has put some very hard decisions in front of me and this one has been one that makes my heart ache. She has such attitude, grace, natural talent with her elegance. It is my best hope that she goes to a good breeding program who will treat her with respect and kindness or continue to show her as she "still has it"!

HyLee's Style and Grace
(Mizrahi x HyLee's Grace Under Fire )
2011 Bay Mare
Stands 14:3+ Hands
"Gwen", as her stable name she has acquired, shows extreme talent at her young age. As we always do, we start our late two-year olds under saddle if they are going through the auction. She shows so much potential at this stage of her life. Tasha, who has worked all the siblings of this cross, says that this filly may be the best! She is very courageous in her training having a lot of go-forwardness and always ready to meet the challenge. She has not photographed as good as she is in person. Her expression is hard to capture with a camera as is her animation at this stage of her saddle work. She has not been awkward in getting used to the riding. She will be quite a star in the 3-year old division in 2014. She has a couple of tough acts to follow with her 2 older sisters, HyLee Grace's Moriah and HyLee's Runway Renee', but you know her chances of being the best have the odds going her way. Don't miss watching this filly!

HyLee's Howaboutthat
(HyLee's Rare Flaire x Madame Butterfly EVM)
2002 Bay Gelding
Stands 15:3 Hands
"Howie" is an all around kind of horse. He has been shown hunt seat, used in a riding lesson program, drives, trail ridden, done a little dressage, jumped some small standards and been to college as a mascot for Iowa State School of Veterinary Medicine. With all those experiences, Howie remains a humble sort of fellow waiting to do whatever you want him to be. He is by no means a "dead-head" but is a reliable horse who does his job. He is good footed, sound and has always been healthy. He deserves a home where he will be the main horse in someone's life. He clips well, hauls well and takes a bath as often as you want him to.
