HyLee Farm has now hosted the 3rd HyLee Farm Production and Consignment Auction.

We had 34 head of horses, 30 were sold, 4 their reserve was not achieved.

The total sales amounted to $199,500 and the average was $6650.00.

The top 5 selling horses received a cooler from Corcel.

Those top five were, HyLee’s Dannation purchased by the Gefke family for Frannie to show in Jr. Exhibitor
Park next year, HyLee’s Goldmine, purchased by Nina Errington for Lindsey to show, Boxford O’Haire went to
Art and Nancy Hattan in Ohio, and tied for fifth highest were two talented two-year olds, HyLee’s Moriah
purchased by Aurora Farm, the Smazinski family and HyLee’s How Sweet Itiz an already proven filly by
Jeremy and Lindsey Johnson of Minnesota.

We were blessed with wonderful weather, sunny, no wind and a simple brisk fall temperature.

Consignors all had wonderfully usable horses and all of them were in very good order.

We appreciated each and every horse that was consigned.

Several consignors were breeders who offered their stock in all ages and stages of training.

It is my hope that this auction offers an outlet for breeders to sell nice young horses and get them out to
the public so that more people will appreciate the type of horse each breeder is raising.

We need the breeders in this small breed.

The consignors who had performance horses consigned brought new faces to a different part of the country
so these horses can continue their useful careers.

Buyers came from the east coast and the Midwest.

Each bidder was given a very fair chance by auctioneer, Bill Addis.

I believe each buyer felt they had purchased a very special horse from each seller.

This year we were "real-time" in the showing of the sale and the bidding through DV Auction.

We had over 300 people watching the auction on Saturday, 39 bids were taken over the Internet and 2 horses
were sold over the Internet.

DV Auction also put our Preview on Friday night on the Internet and we had about 33 people watching on Friday.

It is the way for people who can’t make the sale to still be active at the sale.

I want to publicly thank all my staff at HyLee for the wonderful job they did in setting up the auction
and making it run smoothly behind the scene.

Melanie Jelle is my barn manager and does a superb job.

Also I want to thank again the Consignors and Buyers for making this auction successful and helping raise
the level of the Morgan market place and the horse industry in general.

Again, I can’t tell you what a pleasure it is to work with Bill and Terry Addis with the auction, they run
a first class ship and Doug Irvine with his distinctly wonderful voice and knowledgeable comments on each
entry all makes the sale a positive experience.

HyLee's Dannation (Liberation First Star x HVK VigilGrace) 7-year old Bay Gelding; Stands 15:2+. Dannation can take any rider to the top. He has won in the Open Park Saddle division, has been ridden by a lady, a junior exhibitor and walk/trot rider. He can squat down and dig with his hocks with a good cadence and pop his knee up above level effortlessly. He is a half brother to the World Champion, HyLee's Goldsmith. By the way he has won numerous championships in hand, both as a stallion and since he was gelded, so no worry about stripping in a championship.

HyLee's Danzing (HyLee's Rare Flaire x HyLee's Dance Tune) 2-year old Bay Mare; Should mature about 15:3. Danzing is a big strong 2 year old who will have about 60 days riding the end of October. She is so powerful of her hocks and has great elevation and stride. Great use of her shoulder. She is very smooth to ride. She was close to hitching, but we wanted to ride her through the sale. She will be a world beater.

HyLee's Excusez Moi' (Pardon My French x HyLee's Easter Eve) Bay yearling filly should mature 15:1. "Frenchie" is a very smooth bodied filly with a head that is exquisite. She is a very nice mover and strong off her hocks. Her dam is a 3/4 sister to the multi-champion western mare, HL MyMy. Frenchie won the yearling filly class at the North Star Morgan Show and was 3rd in the yearling sweepstakes. I see her as an ultra special western prospect for her manner and disposition.

HyLee's Gaiden In Disguise (Stonecroft Masquerade x Gaiden) 2 year old Bay filly. Should mature about 15:2. This is truely an elegant filly. She has a very smooth way of going and a good set of hocks. She has been a little slower maturing, but if she follows her other siblings she should finish out about 15:2 for a minimum. She is world class quality in whatever division she finishes out in. Of course her bloodlines are all "blue bloods".

HyLee's Goldmine (Pot Of Gold x HVK Black Fantasy) Goldmine has had a successful show season in the western pleasure division being nearly undefeated in the mare division and was crowned Champion at the North Star Morgan Americana in the Western Pleasure division. She stands 15:3 and is a beautiful black mare. It is only her second season showing with limited shows in 2009. She is a half sister to the multi-titled World Champion, HyLee's FanFlaire and HyLee's Take Command.

HyLee's How Sweet Itiz (HyLee's Galaxy Seven x HVK Sweet Flaire) 2-Year old Black Filly; Presently stands 15 hands. "Sweetie" is an extremely gifted filly off both ends. In 2009 she won the Yearling Sweepstakes at the Morgan Masterpiece and in 2010 she was Grand Champion Mare at the North Star Morgan Americana after winning the Open 2-Year old Filly class, she also won the NCMA Futurity for Two-Year Old Driving. She was second in the 2-Year old mare at the Morgan Masterpiece and at the Jubilee won the Futurity Two-Year Old Filly In Hand and was 3rd in the Futurity Park Harness. She is a great filly to train, always is the same, tail up and looks everyday like life is worth getting up for.

HyLee's Moriah (Mizrahi x HyLee's Grace Under Fire) 2-year old Black Filly, should mature about 15:2. Moriah is a very mature 2 year old. She is very high-headed, in fact her chest can touch the front of the stall before her nose! She has had all the work to be ready to hitch, but we wanted to ride her through the auction. She has been very smart to work with and is a good mover with that Mizrahi hocks. She may take some time to grow into herself, but has great potential.

HyLee's Noel (Stonecroft Masquerade x HVK Christmas Flaire) Noel has been doing very well in the Hunter Pleasure division this year as a three-year old. She was 2nd her first time out in the UPHA Hunter Pleasure at Morgan Masterpiece and then was 3rd in the Jubilee Hunter Futurity and 5th in the UPHA Hunter Pleasure Championship. She stands 15:3. She is a beautiful full bodied three-year old. She covers the ground effortlessly with a strong stride and powerful hocks. She is bred in the blue for future as a broodmare. She is in my opinion what a hunter should move like and cover the ground confidently and with cadence. She will only get better. She is shown with rider, Megan Heintz.

HyLee's Skandahl (HyLee's Galaxy Seven x HyLee's Easter Eve) 2-year old Bay Filly; stands 15 hands. This filly was 2nd at the Jubilee in 2 year old fillies and was Reserve Champion Mare at the North Star Morgan Americana this year. She is very correct in conformation and Morgan type. She is strong off her hocks. I look to her to be a very nice western pleasure(she is a full sister to the World Champion, HyLee's Seventh Heaven) or Classic english. She has been hitched a few times and is presently being started under saddle by Dan Lynch.

HyLee's Too Late For T Time(HyLee's Galaxy Seven x HVK Diamond Flaire) Black weanling filly- full sisters have matured to 15:1. I don't normally put weanlings through an auction, but we are having to cut back and I have a full sister I am retaining for breeding. This up-headed full of show attitude filly is eligible for the Jubilee Futurity and the North Central Morgan Futurity, she has not yet been nominated to the World Futurity which is due December 1st. She already has won over $1900 in the NCMB Weanling Sweepstakes held in Madison, Wis this year. Her sister was Grand Champion Mare of the North Star Morgan Americana in 2009. I am giving you the opportunity to own a young filly with earning potential in the futurities, a show horse and grand future broodmare.
